What I read: June Edition

I’m linking up with Amber for #Collaboreads today for what I read in June!

You Should Have Known

3.5 out of 5
This book was quite an interesting one. It took me soooo long to get into this book because it just started so slowly. I originally picked up this book about two months ago but then I couldn’t get through the first few chapters. The story is about a woman who is a therapist and specializes in couples therapy. She has written this book about how you know if your husband is cheating on your or not and all that jazz. AND THEN her husband just sorta disappears and she finds out all this crazy stuff that he did and how she picks herself and her son up and moves on with their life. Basically it was just an okay book.

One Plus One

While this didn’t even come close to being as good as Me Before You, I still really liked this book. It was a quick read and of course had me laughing and crying at the drop of a hat. This story was about two people from completely different backgrounds and how they fall in love. There is heartbreak, disappointment, money, children, and just life issues that come up. I stayed up until like one in the morning just to finish this book so basically I just had to know what happened and of course the last like 50 pages were the best and the most emotional of them all.
All the Bright Places

Oh dear heavens this book has you feeling all the feels similar to the feels you felt when you read The Fault in our Stars. I pretty much knew what was going to happen 1/3 of the way in the book and I read this book in about a day because it was super short and super good. This book is about a heart wrenching love story between two high school students who are broken, hurting, and finding themselves. This book opens your eyes to what people go through on a daily basis and just how much you don’t know about what someone is going through behind closed doors. This was such a good book and I was sad for it to end the way that it did and if I hadn’t been finishing reading it while I was in Toyota getting my oil changed I would have been bawling like a baby.
Spring Fever

Oh my this was my first Mary Kay Andrews novel and it was so good. I really loved it and this book was super interesting and such a good story. This book was your typical love story with the evil witch of a girlfriend and the small town girl who is in love with the superstar guy and it was great. Although the ending was super predictable I still loved it. I will definitely be reading another one of her books.

If I stay

3.75 out of 5
yes, that is my rating.

Okay. Let me just vent. What the what did I just read? Basically, this girl and her family get in a car wreck and she spews random stories about them throughout the book because she is the only one who lives through the wreck and the rest of her family dies. She is in a coma but also a ghost just watching and hearing everything going on in the world while she fights to survive.  The end of the book has you wondering if she will make it or not BUT THEN YOU’RE JUST LIKE WAIT WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN?! (see below).

Where she went

Okay, I take back what I said above. I speed read this book in about a day and when I figured out what happened with Adam and Mia I was so upset like WHAT IS LIFE IF THESE TWO AREN’T TOGETHER MAKING BEAUTIFUL MUSIC?! And then the ending makes it better so then I was happy again. Sorry I totally just gave this entire book away but you see it coming by about the fourth chapter in.

Check out what I read in previous month’s, then please recommend something for me for next month because I’m always looking for a new good book to read! 🙂
